Conversations with garden owners

In 2023, the semioticians and anthropology students will talk to the garden owners about the history and future of their gardens, the practices in their gardens and the different plant and animal species in their gardens. Such conversations open up people's relationship with biodiversity through the example of their own gardens.

Evaluating biodiversity

Biologists identify and count insect and bird species in the same gardens, allowing them to assess how biodiverse one garden is compared to another.

Identifying possible links

Finally, the garden owners' attitudes towards biodiversity will be compared with the biodiversity of their gardens to identify possible links.
